Sabrejet Posted July 27, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2011 At the weekend I was listening some anecdotes told by a British guy who has worked in the movie industry as a stuntman/military advisor for many years. His film credits go right back to the 60s and include many "big" movies. More recently, he was involved in "Saving Private Ryan" and "Band of Brothers". He said that producer / director Steven Spielberg was meticulous about detail and accuracy, so much so that he insisted that all of the paratroopers in his movies carried switchblades in the zippered pocket on their jumpsuits even though they would never be seen at all in the course of the movies! Still-A-Marine Posted July 27, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 27, 2011 Very interesting. I wonder what the switchblades that they carried looked like and if there is a easy way to differentiate them from the originals? Bill
