M1Marksman Posted January 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2014 Are these late WW2 or post-war? I see them around, but have not yet added one to my collection.
gomorgan Posted January 30, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 30, 2014 According to what I've read this was established August 45 but insignia not approved til July 47, so post war for sure, I think this is the guys that did or ran the "Berlin Airlift" Almost see more of this patch made in Germany than you do the US fully embroidered version. They are pretty though and I've got a number in my collection. Hope this helps...
M1Marksman Posted January 30, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks. I looked around but couldn't find any history. Along with the patches posted here, there should also be a brief history, not just a pic. This is a reference section...
MarkGreen Posted April 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 21, 2014 Is there any significance to the upper right patch with the pentagon shaped center instead of a circle? Could it aid in indicating maker? Just asking because I have one just like it.
