ronl Posted October 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2007 Sorry about the fuzzy pics. Top Marine Corps. In descending order; machine gun, bayonet, auto. rifle. bottom disc; division, wreathed crossed rifles with bullseye. Was the bottom medal given to the top marksman in the division? What is the time frame of the item?
bobgee Posted October 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2007 As noted picture sux. The three silver bars do not belong on this badge. They belong on the USMC Basic Qualification badge. The bronze "Division" leg medals are usually named and dated. Is this one? Bobgee
ronl Posted October 29, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2007 No name or date on this one. Seems like a Marine decided to add just a little extra touch to his award. What time period is it from? I know the auto rifle is the BAR, so it had to be sometime in the 50's at the latest.

Browning Automatic Rifle was introduced in 1918 and was in the system until the M-14 was introduced in the mid-60's. S/F....Bobgee
