Just acquired this EGA. Supposed to be an EMs WW1 cap device. VERY lightweight compared to others I've seen. Any comments? Thanks, Bill

Fine example of the early thin shell emblems, my understanding is, these were made specifically for the pre 1912 fore-aft creased campaign hat. The EGA was mounted on the left side not the front. Of course these could would have been used on the period Service Cover as well.
