gimp Posted June 20, 2013 Share #201 Posted June 20, 2013 This is the 1987th Tigerstripe Products with the cotton twill fabric. Last run before ripstop fabric came out. Within this time frame: First run are flat buttons. Second run are bdu buttons. On the photos you see replaced buttons, non typical TSP issued buttons. bravo_2_zero Posted June 21, 2013 Share #203 Posted June 21, 2013 Tigerstripe Products to me AG Features the tell tail print flaw found on every TSP garment. Take a look right side under the pocket, the " hooked" black stripe that shouldn't be joined like a fishing hook style.
bravo_2_zero Posted June 21, 2013 Share #204 Posted June 21, 2013 It may be good . I have seen pockets like this before but 4 pocket type . show the seams please . owen I have this exact jacket with the camo BDU buttons. My pockets on the jacket are off somewhat and have been removed and re applied in factory. My pockets angle the ( or did ) the other way so its lower at the armpit. The cloth is light and very thin and you look at it and you can see it tear or rot like magic ! I use to wear mine a lot but the quality isn't what you'd expect for TSP. choochoo Posted January 10, 2015 Share #214 Posted January 10, 2015 Picked up a couple of replicas today. A JWD (i think) and a Golden Tiger. Material is a thinner cotton than the Tiger Stripe Products replicas, but not bad. The JWD shirt is a bit faded. No tags, only a stamped "M"

Goingecho Posted April 30, 2015 Share #218 Posted April 30, 2015 Any thoughts on those two Tiger bonnies? A friend ask me to post them on the forum for more comments. Personally I think the first one is a Japan or Hongkong made copy, and the second one with ripstop fabric might be a modified TSP piece? Any ideas? Thanks. Mitch Posted July 10, 2015 Share #221 Posted July 10, 2015 Ok, I have a hard time figuring the real tigers out and now I thought I would post this set as an example and to also verify the maker and timeframe and what the distinguishing factor is to identify them. I was told they look like MASH. The previous owner says he bought them from Gilles Bourdeau (author?) in 1998 and he thought they were real. They are a fairly heavy weight. They have a YKK zipper and are marked US-M. Any help appreciated. Regards, Mitch
