Unit Specific Name Tape

I just received this in the mail today. I am guessing it is from the 1950's. It does not glow. I would assume this soldier was in the 9th Infantry Regiment. Any information or comments are welcome.

Looks Asian made to me. Prior to Vietnam, they were in Korea.

You probably already know this, but in the mid-1950's before the name tapes were standardized, you saw all kind of color combinations, especially in Asian based units.

 

Here is a uniform I once owned... I could never figure out if these were crossed cannons or crossed wrenches.

Well it probably doesnt matter now but It seems to be crossed cannons to me. Just my 2 cents worth.
