36-tex Posted June 24, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2011 I just received this in the mail today. I am guessing it is from the 1950's. It does not glow. I would assume this soldier was in the 9th Infantry Regiment. Any information or comments are welcome.
gwb123 Posted June 25, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2011 Looks Asian made to me. Prior to Vietnam, they were in Korea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9th_Infantry_...(United_States) You probably already know this, but in the mid-1950's before the name tapes were standardized, you saw all kind of color combinations, especially in Asian based units. Here is a uniform I once owned... I could never figure out if these were crossed cannons or crossed wrenches.
tbirdismypride Posted June 25, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 25, 2011 Well it probably doesnt matter now but It seems to be crossed cannons to me. Just my 2 cents worth.
Flightmedic Posted June 25, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 25, 2011 With a name like Gillette. Crossed Razors...... Sorry I know it was weak and pointless but I couldn't help it.
