I'm traveling to europe soon and am trying to plan my trip around visiting battlefields of the first and second world wars. Does anyone have nay recommendations for some haunted battle fields, and unhaunted ones, worth visiting? I'm trying to keep my visit centered in germany, but holland and belgium are possible. Sorry If this is posted in the wrong area, it seemed like the right place.

Frankly, they all have a presence about them.

Verdun

Bastonge

Normandy

As for Germany, I'm not sure that you will find a "battlefield" per se, as once the Allies entered the country the actions were fairly fluid.

If you are over near the German/ Belgian border you might still find some of the original Dragon's Teeth of the Westwall, although I understood they were in the process of removing them.

The towers of the bridge at Remagen should still be there as well.

You might want to consider a professional historical tour... or at least look at their websites and see where they go. You could always go the same places on your own.

Oddly enough, I thought this would be an easy search. Turns out that over here (in the US) we mostly have info on haunted US (almost all Civil War) battlefields. Not a thing about ones in Europe!

You might try posting something on a paranormal board like ghostvillage.com and see if anyone has some tips and pointers for you. I've GOT to think they've got plenty of haunted battlefields in both the UK and on the Continent.
