"Lunch Box" M3 Knife

A few years ago I bought a mint PAL blade dated M3 that was obviously a reject taken out of the factory, hence the name "lunch box" for how it was probably carried out. Mint condition but the markings on the blade were misaligned and the leather handle washers never received the final shaping and polishing. Pommel only had one instead of two pins. The guy who sold it to me lived in western Mass which wasn't far from the wartime PAL BLADE CO. factory so I assume he got it from a former employee. I wish I'd had a digital camera at the time so I could have taken pics of it before I sold it. Since I got it cheap I probably should have kept it. These days any blade DATED M3 is worth big bucks.

I sold all my blade marked M3's too...

I had two Imperial's, two King Folks ( not sure of the spelling ), one with USM6 sheath, flea market pick up. And one Boker.

I kept a Camillus with French Army armory serial number in a french made USM6 for Airborne Troops.

I also sold my M42 jump coat and trousers, my M1C helmets, etc... etc...
