chcole1 Posted June 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2011 I pick this up recently even though I don't collect rank insignia. Any idea why rank would be combined with a divisional symbol? And why they are pointing down? Some kind of dress uniform insiginia? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Chris
KurtA Posted June 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2011 I'd guess it's a WW1 veteran's patch signifying 1 1/2 years overseas in WW1 with the 26th Div.
USMCRECON Posted June 29, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2011 I'd also guess it was a display of oveseas time and unit. I saw a similar one about 8-10 years ago sewn to the lower sleeve of a post-WW-I Americn Legion uniform.
