LTGSANCHEZ Posted October 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2007 OK, I have a 504th m1942 jacket that has a 1 inch thick area of tape residue running across the left arm below the 82nd patch. There is another 504th uniform at the Infantry museum here in Fort Benning that has the same thing (show in the second photo). I've also seen another m1942 jacket with the same thing (don't know which regiment/division). Was there a piece of of tape/plaster bandage used by some paratroopers for and ID during some operation(s)? I know a regiment in the 101st used strips of gauze as an ID for the normandy jump. Anyone know anything about that? The first photo shows my m1942 and the second shows the one at the infantry museum.
