I picked up an envelope with four posters, "The Four Freedoms," by Norman Rockwell, in a dated military envelope (I think it was '43). I love those things, but it's tough to find room to display them all. Apparently, there are two sizes, one huge, one smaller, just fine for home display. Perhaps 15 inches by 20. Love those. Those need archival framing, which I haven't gotten around to yet.

I also have a Seattle poster calling for Japanese Americans to report for Internment, which is kinda fun.

There are some great pieces on display in the forum! I obtained this 1941-1945 Army Reserve Recruitment poster from an antique store in Colorado this last year. * Sorry about the sideways photo, I haven't been able to get it corrected, although it shows upright on my screen it doesn't when uploaded for some reason.*

An example of the poster can be found at the National Archives, Still Picture Record Section, Special Media Archives Services Division record identifier: 513498.

It appears when comparing this one to the one at the archives, the below part in blue "Fort Leavenworth" was added. I'm guessing these posters were meant to be modified at the local recruiting level to make them unique to each recruiting officer, in this case Leavenworth. I find this very interesting.

It needs some proper framing but after that it will find its place on the wall.

Rene, love that 'Keep 'em Flying' poster, printed in my hometown! Here are a few from my war-rooms. First is a WWI Illinois poster, love the graphics and as an Illinois collector, had to have this one. Second is one is from 1952, just love the B-36! Not sure why the Illinois is sideways but just click on it to see it correctly-Enjoy, Mark

an original 1942 USAAF recruitment poster

Has some water stains and one barely noticeable small tear at top otherwise really nice condition!
And at a whopping 24" x 36" in size so it has impact!
* 3 B-17E forts
* 7 crew members (colorized photo by Ivan Dmitri for the Saturday Evening Post)
* mentions Bombardiers, navigators and pilots...
* dated 5-16-42!
The posters were printed with "Young Men, 18 to 26 ..." but enlistment age later changed to 17 and this one still retains the printed, cut and glued age change sticker!

sorry for the glass glare reflection...
