This might seem an obvious thing to point out but it might confuse some non French speakers...i.e. that "Marine" in this context means "Navy"....not USMC. Great photo. The Arc de Triomphe / Champs Elysees always make a dramatic backdrop for a military parade. Interesting to note that the bandsmen are wearing rifle belts. It is very interesting that two of you have a different postcard from the same day and march. It looks like the archway is the same one in both pictures but taken from different angles.
