Jason G Posted October 15, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 15, 2007 I picked this up today at the Harpers Ferry WVA flea market......complete, just out of the closet....someone stripped all the insignia BUT, it's still a nice deal for... 1944 pattern dated Ike, 87th ID combat patch, 3rd Service Cmd left sleeve, Sergeants Stripes, and 2 O/S bars. Size tag is unreadable but appears to be a 14-16 or so. No nips or tears. Looks like it had a 3 place ribbon bar and CIB. Overseas cap with blue piping as well. And the M42 shirt, complete with gas flap, buttons on back of collar still intact as well, Sgt's stripes, 87th ID patch. Trousers as well, they also have the fly gas flap intact. *** It was in a pile on a table with some boy scout stuff. I asked the lady 'how much for the army coat?' and she said "Five bucks". I dug out the o/s cap and trousers, she charged me another 2 bucks for them. It was a good day for sure. I don't get that kinda lucky that often!
