Jim Baker Posted May 22, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2011 I know there are many vets here on the forum. I would really love to see any photos you have of US armor during the gulf wars. Feel free to throw in Hummers and the 8 wheeled vehicles too. Thanks!!

General Apathy Posted June 20, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 20, 2011 Hi Ian, thanks for the photo a vehicle that does the job asked of it, but sadly with these modern vehicles I don't see the simple aesthetic lines that were visible with WWII vehicles, the molded hull Sherman, the closed cab GMC 6 x 6 ( CCKW ). lewis
Jim Baker Posted June 20, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted June 20, 2011 I've got photos I could post, but they are internet captures. I was hoping to see something besides the usual Google search stuff. Particularly Abrams and Bradleys. Thanks to those who have posted.

BEAST Posted June 26, 2011 Share #11 Posted June 26, 2011 Jim, We had some 3rd ID vets come through our hospital in 2004. One shared some of his photos with us. Here is a shot of a Bradley. And the business end on an Abrams.
AustinO Posted June 30, 2011 Share #12 Posted June 30, 2011 Not enough going on in this thread. These are all from a friend thats spent the good part of the last 6 years in Afghanistan. All these photos are from the last year or two, he is PSYOP so they are all related to that field. Notice the one HMMWV with speaker system attached to both sides of the turret and the MRAP with speakers on its turret front.
AustinO Posted June 30, 2011 Share #13 Posted June 30, 2011 As he explained it to me, they mounted a second gun (and an extra 2000 rounds) on the back hatch of their MRAP for added firepower in firefights.
