Sydney, Australia -- Claude Stanley Choules, the last known combat veteran of World War I, has died. He died last night in Australia. I salute you - -

He was 110 years old if I read correctly.

I was watching the News about him today he was awarded a lot of Medals for his Heroic Service During WW1

 

and May he Rest. In. Peace and may God Bless his Soul :salute: .

Rest Well, Mr. Choules.

 

Very sad to think about, but the World War II veteran will be extinct in most of our lifetimes. Most of them are now in their 80s and it will only be another 20 or 30 years before they're all gone.
