cpatrick Posted October 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2007 I thought that I would share this officer's summer garrison. This is part of a uniform group that belonged to a Major who was a member of the ATC - "flying the hump". He spent some time in India during WWII. I have his tropical uniform with a rare India made AAF patch. (Yellow and blue) I love the lining.. Chris
CNY Militaria Posted October 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 8, 2007 That is nice! The rank is direct embroudered right? If so, it makes the cap that much cooler! Is the uniform a bush jacket?
cpatrick Posted October 8, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted October 8, 2007 Hi Justin, The Major's insignia is direct embroudered. The cap goes with a Army Air Force tropical bush jacket - complete with the belt, Indian made AAF patch, ATC DI's, and embroudered branch and rank insignia on the lapels.
