Funny looking overseas cap

I picked this up at the flea market last weekend. Any idea what this is? Is it even military?

Probably -- the ribbon on the front is the allied soldiers commemorative medal or something like that. One finds the ribbon on uniforms sometimes. Can't explain the cap liner -- perhaps it is a postwar addition. Maybe the vet dislaiked the scratchy wool on his noggin during parades after the war.

My guess would be a patriotic hat worn by a woman doing "War work." Probably hand made. Very interesting!

I have been told that the ribbon is a veterans ribbons. The colors of the countries we fought in. Most likely worn for parardes or VFW events.
