I think this one may be a Naval Aviation patch for the crew of a large aircraft, like the P-3 Orion. I think they had multiple crews and that each different crew was assigned a numerical or color designation to identify them as a certain crew; the crews were semi-permanent as I understood it, and not made up from scratch with different folks every flight, but rather with the same aircrew members for each flight. Not sure if they did this with E2C Hawkeye crews or not too, I have seen them designated something like this in unit history books.
