U-2 PILOT COVERALL (?)

hi fellas -

 

this is reputedly flight gear for a vn-era usaf/agency u-2 pilot. it has maybe a half-dozen purpose-made holes in the side. and no marks, for reasons of 'plausible deniability.' the dual front zips seem interesting, and the chest patch pocket. sorry no other pix. comments please? thanks.

The suit looks like an mid 70's USAF winter flight suit. I worked for a Col who flew the tactical recon version of the U2 the TR1 they and the U2 guys wore pressure suits.

I agree.The pressure suits were a darker green as I recall and had laces on the out side and internal badders(s)? similiar to the G-suits.

I knew this wasn't the pressure suit but the ex-U2 pilot I hope to get it (and other things) from doesn't have that. he said this f-suit was related to the u-2 but at age 80 I guess he messed up.

 

anyway, why no makers label or other markings?
