There are so many ways to answer this...many variations depending on unit and time frame.

I suggest you get hold of Paul Miraldi, who is a member of this Forum under pwmiraldi1967 . He's working on a series of books on Special Forces uniforms of the Vietnam War. He's on here off and on, but he has been pretty busy with his books. It might be better to contact him direct.

Very true. You might try some of the Vietnam reenactor sites though.

A lot depends if you are trying to portray a soldier in the field, or one in the base camp. As Kammo-Man noted, uniforms actually worn in the field often had minimal to none insignia.

thank's mercenary for the photo, for all it's correctly in the tiger stripe the place of the patches..

place/patch:

right arm shoulder macv patch in full colour with ranger tab.

left arm shoulder SF patch full colour.

neck cross rifles subdued and rank in colour.

right chest name tap in od or tiger stripe with arvn para wings in full colour.

left chest cib and us para wings in full colour, and mike force tap in od or tiger stripe.

left chest pocket the mike force patch (first, second, third or fourth corp).

it's right or wrong?thank's for all.

Best regards.

Here is one for you to work from.

Some MF shirts were Christmas trees , some quite plain.
