cpatrick Posted September 26, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2007 I just picked this up today from a garage sale. The lady knew absolutely nothing about it, or who it may have belonged to. She didn't even know that it was military. There's a partial inked serial on the inside of the belt, strikes me as WWII in style. Is this a WWII officer's belt??? Were they all the same from the war years, and post war?? The buckle is marked "Solid Brass".... Chris

glenm Posted September 27, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 27, 2007 Standard-issue waist belt with PX-purchase closed face brass buckle..... not specifically an Officer's belt. Cheers, Glen.
Polygon Posted September 27, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 27, 2007 Well, there was a separate enlisted M1937 trouser "claw" belt from my understanding, while these were worn predominantly by officers.
