Hi all,

 

here's one that i came across that was of interest to me - but with little knowlege i thought i best to ask here before pursuing:

 

 

Something tells me that this is a "franken" (ie put together) shirt, but i simply don't have the body of knowlege to make an educated decision. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciate - thanks for your time and consideration.

I just won this shirt on eBay tonight, looks like the UDT patch has been replaced but guys switched to different teams from time to time. Other than that it looks fine....though I'm sure someone will tell me it's a fake/put together. The shoulder patch is an early 60's version, it has alot more details in it than the 70's/80's versions.

Seeing this topic again reminded me that I needed to find the UDT 12 cruisebook for 1977-79 and there is in FACT a Bartlett in UDT 12. The shirt at the beginning of this topic is original even though alot of guys said it was fake. Check out the picture below....the shirt pictured looks just like the one at the beginning of this topic. This picture is from the 77-79 UDT 12 cruisebook.

Congratulations Spike - i was chasing that one myself, but without the knowlege to back up a high(er) bid i dropped out. If i would have known it was legit for sure you may have had a real fight on your hands ... LOL. Very happy you snagged it - it will be joining an already impressive collection !
