Polygon Posted September 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2007 It's not a vest, the jacket you have is a M1941 type. It was the standard light weight cotton field jacket for the U.S. Army and other branches during the Second World War and eventually replaced by the M1943 field jacket. The stenciling is interesting, but a bit unclear.

Bob Hudson Posted September 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2007 thanks for helping the stensel on the back says the united nations can the stenseling olso ww2 danny My guess is that this was worn by a civilian attached to either United Nations Command or more likely the UN governing body during the Korean War.
