Unknown Camouflage Beret

I picked up this camouflage beret in an out-of-the-way antique store today. It doesn't look US-made, but it also doesn't look like Vietnam-made berets I've seen. The people in the store didn't have any idea where it had come from. Does anyone recognize the construction?

The lining is a pinkish synthetic material with a plastic holder that may have at one time contained a label. The gold tassel was threaded through a couple of ventilation eyelets on the side.

Sweat band very similiar to Viet Nam produced berets. Is there a stiffener in the front for rank/unit badge?I know the VN made berets tended to be a little taller on one side as the insignia was worn to the side(cocks comb) as oposed to the US on the front and over left eye.Could be Thai or Phillipino.Just a guess.Would like to hear Bobs opinion from Vintage Productions
