General Apathy

.

Pulled this ' Firing Squad ' arc out yesterday looking at patches, checked the topic to ensure I wasn't showing something already posted. There is one other mention of ' Firing Squad ' sometime back however it's not on an arc. Unknown use.

General Apathy

Well looking back over this thread it appears that virtually any type of arc / tab or bar have been added so here's a few more.

I have the tab over the Signal School SSI and identified as the 9614th Signal Training Guided Missile Firing Battery.   I could be completely wrong as well.  The web does have history for the 9614th.

It was never used to identify a traditional “firing squad”; ready, aim, fire!

A real curious find, the wear of what must be a BORDER PATROL Scroll on the Right shoulder of a 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment Medic in 1967, curiously in Light Blue, the color of the Infantry (Note the Yellow Cav Rope)

He is Leslie L. Cowden later making Spec 5.

And in the 25th Infantry Division, he was apparently awarded a BSM and a SSM but this is not depicted in his graphics of his medals.

A HEADHUNTERS Scroll on a In Country made Boonie,  the unit is the 2nd Battalion 327th Infantry of the 101. Name Ramon Rodriguez, a 17 year old in trouble, had to join the army or else, that was in 1960, so when this photo was taken in like 1967, he already had 7 years or so in, was a young Staff Sergeant, and was a Platoon Sergeant, probably by default right, a lack of an E-7 Sergeant First Class, or the Sfc became a casualty, and he took over, whatever the case, he already a Master Blaster we see, spent time too in West Germany in the Airborne Brigade 8th Infantry Division before Vietnam. He gets two Silver Stars over there, I believe he spent at least 25 or more Years in, retiring sometime in the mid to late 80s as  Command Sergeant Major.

Quite the Super Trooper, when he was SF in the late 70s, he also was put in for a Retroactive Medal Of Honor in 1982, maybe he'll still get it.
