tigerfan Posted February 5, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2011 I picked this WWI "patched" pillow cover up today in a local antique co-op. What appears to be the front has a multi piece eagle, three sgt. rank patches and a bullion generals star. Also reads Mother below the eagle. On the back are nine different WWI patches and a small linen American flag. All of the patches and rank are cross stitched on. I will let the photos tell the rest. kertwo Posted February 6, 2011 Share #9 Posted February 6, 2011 Great find; I typically don't even look at the military pillow covers; however, after seeing this I will start looking from now on!
zotig111 Posted February 11, 2011 Share #10 Posted February 11, 2011 Nice item! Based on WWI patches it's hard to tell if they're real patches or if they were someone's attempt to make their own version. Either way, I would say this is an awesome period made piece. Great find...
