Thanks for the info Matt.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I picked this up recently and was wondering if anyone might know more about it? It is an M43 jacket used I guess in the 1950's? The airman seemed he wanted everyone to know it was his jacket as he stamped his name in the jacket a lot. If anyone can add any further information it would be appreciated.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any period pictures of soldiers/sailors wearing Asian made souvenir jackets in the 1940s?

Great site! Enjoyed it a lot. One thing is the dropdown menu with all the pages linking to the artifacts was a bit hard to find and it took me some time to realize it was up there. Otherwise, great job! Like it a lot. -
Hunt, There is a lot of information online about American of Japanese ancestry (AJA) in WWII. There were women that served in the WACs as well. There are a number of good books on the 442nd and the MIS out there. Here are some sites with lots of information: http://encyclopedia.densho.org/categories/#Military http://www.goforbroke.org/index.php An article about AJA women http://encyclopedia.densho.org/Japanese_American_women_in_military/

Thanks for the info, It looks like there is a palm tree in front of the sterling. It's hard to see what the mark in the center is if it really is anything. Here are some closer pics.

Thanks a lot! Are these a pretty common wing or more scarce?

I was wondering if anyone can give me info on these aircrew wings such as maker, original or anything else? They are just marked "sterling". There seems to be some mark on the back in the middle but might not be anything, Thank you!
