  1. Just wanted to let everyone know that the Woonsocket, RI show at the Elks hall is a go. The Elks are requiring everyone to wear a mask to attend. The show in March was the last pre-shutdown show so make this one your first "new normal" show. The show is Saturday July 25 at the Elks lodge, 380 Social St, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Dealer setup is 0730. The show opens to the public at 9. So far, it looks like the tables are selling quickly. Show officially goes to 3 but starts breaking up by 1. Contact Tim Wider indianchief1946@yahoo.com 508-962-3566 for details. See you there!
  2. Sorry to hear that he is no longer with us. I always made sure to stop by and catch up at every show. He always had something new to "complain" about! He taught me just about everything I know about WWI USMC collecting. He was truly a mentor in the field and I will definitely miss him. He was truly a man who did it all during his life. It was a pleasure to know him.
  3. I was VERY happy with my results at this show. This was my 5th time attending (from the Boston area - 4.5 hour drive) and I will not miss one. I set a record in sales and found a holy grail piece for my collection (unfortunately for this forum, it was a bad guy item). This show is very dynamic as each event for me has been different. I have completely sold out at 2 shows, bought great at 4 of 5 shows, and spent an entire day trading high-end items for inventory. One of the "slow" shows from a sales perspective allowed me to buy a WWI USMC medal and dog tag grouping that walked in from the local flea market. Mattydale is truly a gem in the rough...
  4. Sgtdorango and I will be setting up there for the first time. We have heard a lot of good things about this show. Can't wait to attend.
  5. I learned something today... I spent way too much time at your table! Seriously though, it was great working with you guys. See you next year.
  6. I believe it is held 3-4 times a year.
  7. Just wanted everyone to know about the Woonsocket, RI show this weekend. It is a Saturday only show. It is a new show that is really starting to pick up momentum 40 tables for now... Come out and see Sgtdorango, scarecrow, myself, and others this Saturday March 9th. This is an all militaria show. It is similar in size to the ASMIC Boxboro show. Dealer set up 7:30 - 9:00 Public hours 9:00 - 3:00 $20 for tables and $5 for general admission. Woonsocket Elks Lodge 380 Social St Woonsocket, RI 02895 There are still a few tables left so if you want to set up, contact: Robert Allers - Tbtmilitariashows@yahoo.com Website: rhodeisland-militariashow.squarespace.com See you there!
  8. I will be there with sgtdorango and 1canpara again. Same spot just down the aisle from Mr. Jerry. I decided to part with my WWI USMC collection and will have all of my painted helmets for sale. Can't wait, this will be my 16th show in a row!
  9. Nuremburg looks correct but it also looks like it has been repaired...
  10. That was one of my best finds ever... Love the Rose Bowl flea market!!! Glad to see it found a good home.
  11. I can't wait. Inventory is packed and ready to go. Time off from work scheduled. Hotel reservations booked. All I need to do now is pick up sgtdorango at LAX and head to Pomona. See you there,
  12. Agree. This is a civilian hard hat that someone mocked up as a poor example of a USMC helmet.
  13. That is some amazing artwork. Just imagine what it took to get all those signatures... Thanks for sharing,
  14. That is, pun intended, a Money example! Thanks for sharing,
