  1. That makes sense. Would this patch have been made back home or in Italy ? Thanks.
  2. The veteran who the patch belonged to was a mechanic. Could he have worn this ? Were squadron patches only put on leather jackets ? Thanks.
  3. I found a picture of this patch being worn. I have an Ike from a mechanic who was in the 722nd and this patch was part of the grouping. Are they worth much ? Thanks.
  4. Hey guys, Do you recognize these patches ? Are they from the subject line unit ? I appreciate the help. " cotton tails "
  5. Great looking knife!! I have no complaints!!
  6. Nice document!! First one I've seen! I wonder if my grandmother was awarded this. She worked in Oak Ridge, TN which had a role the development of the bomb. Taken from Wikipedia: "Oak Ridge was established in the early 1940s as a base for the Manhattan Project—the massive U.S. government operation that developed the atomic bomb. Scientific development still plays a crucial role in the city's economy and culture in general."
  7. I've been to Drawbridge many times for OVMS shows!! This will be my first ASMIC!! Any German stuff? hush hush....
  8. I am so glad you took the time to ask your father these questions. I've been wondering this from the very start of this series!
  9. I'm speechless!!!! Congrats on the find of the year!!!
  10. I feel let down as well. I don't remember this much cussing in band of brothers. Did GI's use the same curse words that we use today? I must say the preview for episode five should make up for all the misery we have experienced so far. I'm stil enjoying the series but it will never beat BOB!!!
  11. Last night I purchased HBO and watched the first two episodes. Just the intro music makes me emotional. I can't wait to see some hand to hand combat. PTO items are going to climb in price due to this series.
  12. Thanks! Any idea on the value?
