  2. Hi, Here is Buster Keaton in 1918.
  3. Hello, I'm sorry I didn"t received a note for your new message. The display changed since I posted the uniform. I learned about ribbons and there are changes too. I wanted to restore it when he was officer, so just at the end of the war. Thanks for sharing these pictures ! It's always nice to see the uniform with his original owner!
  4. Hello, I have a question about WW2 Corpsmen wearing USMC winter service coat. Do you have a pre or WW2 photo of a Corpsman wearing patches on both sleeves of an USMC coat ? I saw some topics about that: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/171324-korean-war-corpsman-greens-im-showin-mine-so-you-show-me-yours/ I would be interested to have more informations about this practice! Thanks for your help! Regards.
  5. Hello, Here is a coat from a Marine who served between 1940 and 1945. In January 1944, he was transferred to Co. F 2/9 and participated in the battles of Guam and Iwo Jima. He was WIA twice in both battles (concussion and GW on left arm). So he awarded the Purple Heart with Gold Star. Regards.
  6. Hello, Indeed very interested topic ! Here is an army M1936 bag named to an USMC Captain WIA on Guadalcanal during the battle of Edson's Ridge. He served in Alaska during the rest of the war.
  7. Hello, That's a good question! If the muster rolls are right, he wasn't in 1st MAW in 1945. So that will explain the 6th Division patch. I don't have his file to confirm that. Regards.
