  3. HI Skir I think you got IVI and DI mixed up. WW2 US Army got 30.06 Ammo was mabe by Canadian Industries (Verdun) Head Stamp VC IVI was formed as a corporation in 1967 specifically to purchase the Dominion Arsenals from the Canadian Government. Cheerrs Gerry

Hi Rick The ammo we got in the 60's was DA Dominion Arsonals owned by the Canadian Gov It was sold to IVI in the 70's All the ammo we got befor NATO was DI 303 and 9mm DA 303 and 30 cal DA can't remember 50 cal IVI may have made ammo during the war as a Privite Co. never see any before the 70's have to some work on thec subject. Hi Guy's Canada made M2 Ball 30-06 from 1945 until about the 1960's We had Browning M1919A4 until converted to 7.62X51 NATO C1 and C5 GPMG.Below is a link to head stamps for US and Canadian made.All Cananian made Fighting Veh were fitted Browning MG and used a lot of 30-06.   9. HI Canada used the Warner & Swasey Mod 1908 Musket Sight on MkIII M 10 Ross Sniper Riflec in .303 Cartridge. The A5 Winchester was used as well. Cheers Gerry
  10. Hi Guy's I picked up my M1917 about 1990 for $100.00 It is Canadian marked C^ Remington all matching but the bolt and not refinished. P1914 (P14)is also a Remington. Mil Collector you will like your new find good looking Rifle. Cheers Was the sale north of Winnipeg?

  12. Hi Guy's My M1928-A1 S/N S186411 had it since 1986 paid $750.00 with the kit just over $1000.00 got all the markings but no the Drum. Fun to have but the Feds will not give us a permit to transport to a Range. Cheers Gerry

  14. Hi The Canadian Army used the M2 mount on M1919A4 and later on the C1 and C5 GPMG 7.62x51 NATO (M1919A4) all were parkerized. I have 3 in our Museum Cheers Gerry
