  1. Thanks Steve. Now I need to research and find a fuse for it. That should be a task.
  2. Any help putting an ID on this frag grenade body would be appreciated. It looks WW1 but I am not certain. No markings that I can find.
  3. I would lean toward an Eastern European country.
  4. Thanks to all for their input.
  5. Thanks much. You have helped me before. I appreciate that.
  6. All you patch people out there. What's your input on this 506th pocket patch? Thanks in advance.
  7. I will completely skip the dyed idea. The thread on the button holes is not red either. Those tan button ring a bell but I can not recall what.
  8. I figured. Just wanted to get other opinions. Never will say I know everything, haha. Thanks much and Happy New Year.
  9. Any input on this patch would be appreciated. In my opinion it is fake but I could be wrong.
  10. A number of years ago when my wife lived in Harrisburg Pa she met a WW2 Navy Vet at the local diner. After many months of seeing him there and talking over breakfast he opened up to her about being captured on Iwo. He said he cleared the beaches before landings and he was captured and tortured in a cave along with other Sailors and Marines. He told her that he never spoke of it before that time and asked her to never say a word about it when his daughter came with him to the diner.
  11. WOW!!! SWEET FIND. Glad it is all staying together.
