  1. When I was in the Boy Scouts in the mid 1950s there was a troop sponsored by Ft Stewart (US Army) in our region. When they came to summer camp they were equipped quite well with US Army gear.
  2. Interesting victory medal. Would you please list the campaign bars?
  3. M.H. Cole was a fixture at the Alabama Gun Collectors shows in Birmingham for many years, occupying a table near the entrance as people came in. My sons bought copies of his Book 3 and Book 4 from him and he was happy to personalize and sign them. This was in the late 1980s and mid 1990s.
  4. Are you in touch with the 8th AF museum near Savannah (https://www.mightyeighth.org/)? It seems they would be interested in this information.
  5. You might try here. https://www.mightyeighth.org/
  6. If you are ever in Montgomery, the Alabama Archives has an excellent exhibit featuring the 167th Infantry. They may have some additional information concerning the Battle of Croix Rouge Farm available in the research department which is open to the public with a staff to assist.
  7. Could you please explain what a Meritorious Service Purple Heart is? Thank you.
  8. That looks like a great book and a fine tribute to the Purple Heart recipients who made the ultimate sacrifice. I wish you success in finding a publisher that will do it justice.
  9. Great looking M1911A1. You were fortunate to find it. Sr.
  10. I think this was part of the American Legion which was formed around the end of WWI.
  11. Nice collection! Do you collect other militaria as well?
