  1. As the topic states, I am looking for the best currently available reproduction M3 for an actual user blade. I have googled the daylights out of it but I am looking for solid user endorsements and links please. TIA
  2. LT, That might have been Future Force Warrior...a lot of concept development type stuff got done in Multicam a few years ago because it was 'different'. Sort of like how concept cars may or may not look like the cars that eventually got made. Crye's chassis hasn't been fielded by anybody that I am aware of. Crye does make some items in colors/ patterns other than Multicam.
  3. Dustin, Open mouth, insert foot. Off the top of my head I can't find any information for the triple HE pouches. I modified a few of the 4 HE for a customer some time ago, but **** if I can find any pictures, info, etc. The panel in the picture could be a 4 round pouch with one lopped off to fit the panel, but they could just as well be a single and a double on the panel in your pic. If it was an in-house thing, a rigger could have taken loose MOLLE pouches and sewn them to the subload panel. I know who could make you some triple HE 40mm pouches though...lol
  4. Dustin, Just off the top of my head, it looks like the operator in the picture is running two GI triple 40mm M203 pouches on a MOLLE FSBE subload panel. I don't think there are all that many aftermarket 40mm panels or pouches that allow the nose of the 40mm round to stick out, Tactical Tailor excluded.
  5. nice Rhodesian vest in the back ground...Fereday's?
  6. LT, That vest is a replica of a Crye (the Multicam guys) vest that they called a 'body armor chassis'. As far as I know, nobody is fielding it, it was kind of a test bed. You can find a replica of the CIRAS at a number of Hong Kong retailers- Eagle tends to come down hard on people in this country who clone their vest due to patent and intellectual property reasons.
  7. Hawkdriver, I think the vest that AK101 has, has these plastic tabs on it: http://www.itwnexus.com/catalog/index.php/...p/a/8/c/21/p/69 they're just ate up from time and insect repellent like he said. I have always wondered about the vests in my above link, I have never met anybody who has used their products.
  8. Hawk, like this vest ?: http://www.ultimatesurvival.com/product_vi...uct_line_ID=100 I believe that this vest might be an issued item for non-ejection aircraft but that's just a guess.
  9. AK, Silly question, can you get some really close-up detail shots of the vest?
  10. I believe the Son Tay Raiders had a bunch of machetes cut down into knives for their operation, but I have no idea what the finished product looked like.
  11. If I was always right, I would have picked the right six numbers by now. You did a good job of following a hunch, it's just that hunches don't always fit the data at hand. IMO, there's never shame in being wrong if you're willing to be open- minded when the facts don't work out your way. Keep at it, you're on the right path!
  12. major situational awareness fail on my part, I was so busy eyeballing the construction details that I missed the toe, one each
  13. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/RyanW...SD-04-01760.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/RyanW...jpilotexfil.jpg Dustin, looks like you're right, that looks to be a tan or 3 color FLC without the zipper, and with the MOLLE pouches you're looking for. My best guess then at this point would be try SDS or Safariland and see if they had such an animal. Merc, good detective work! edited to add: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/RyanW...F-2673Z-101.jpg
  14. AK, I only remember seeing one other of those. No leads on who made it-possibly one of the smaller outfits that just vanished over the years? The black plastic lash tabs were probably made by ITW-Nexus and they don't seem to age well, bug spray or not. On the other hand, all of those materials were probably relatively available within the system around Just Cause, and the way the loops of Type 8 are set up across the belly and chest, and at the shoulders says "extrication harness" to me. Rigger-made or locally made on the East Coast within the community? The pouches should be a very i
  15. Unless you live close to Ft. Bragg, Ft. Campbell or near San Diego, not really. Best bet is to keep an eye on ebay and the sales forums here and build up over time. The other option is airsoft brand clones, but if you're looking for authenticity, that's out.
