  1. I am also very interested to hear what Greg or Gary have to say about that scabbard.
  2. Thanx for the reply 37thguy! Well, I've done a little informal research on my own. I've gone on Ebay and asked questions to the sellers of various m1's. The trend seems to be the type of grip I have pictured is on the M1 bayo and mainly AB (Auburn Buttonworks) on the cut down 1905's. I stress this is very unscientific and may mean nothing. I wrote this seller and the description he gave me describes the grips I have pictured. http://cgi.ebay.com/US-garand-bayonet-grip...93%3A1|294%3A50
  3. These came off a AFH M1 bayonet. However, I know little of these, and they do not match any pictures of the grips on Gary's Bayo Points #23. Are these real or repops? They appear to be in the same condition as the rest of the bayonet, certainly not in new condition by any means. Thanx.
  4. Looks good. You may find this helpful: http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/humes_m7_03.htm
  5. I gotta say it's my PAL M4 with an early M8 scabbard.
  6. Is there any difference in value, assuming both are in equal condition, between a shortened M3 scabbard with the REP marking and an "original" M7? Thanx.
  7. Could be. Gary talks about it here: http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/bayo_points_33.htm
  8. Up until a few minutes ago, reading this thread, I would not have given this knife a second look. Now I know better. Much to learn have I. Thanx for posting.
  9. For 25 bucks, I wouldn't complain either. Nice find. Congrats.
  10. Easy. MilPar put their name on the guard, Imperial did not. This particular bayo had no name stamped on it. Also, it did not say W-Germany below the logo on the blade so that eliminates Eickhorn. http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/humes_m7_03.htm
  11. I know as a collector that most anything that has the Colt name on it commands a premium of sorts. However, in one's opinion here, is an Imperial M7 with the Colt logo on the blade worth $202.50? Also, this is without the crinkle finish M8A1 Scabbard. I have wanted both the Imperial and Milpar Colt's for my collection, but apparently their value has escalated recently. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=130283417563 Butch
  12. Very nice knife for a very nice price. Congrats. Now you need to go spend 500 bucks on a nice M6 scab to go with it. Just kidding of course. Butch
