    USAAF wings. anything WW2.
  1. The TO wing sold for about $99. I decided not to bid. Instead I went for a nice safe Bell pattern Navigator and an Orber Flight Nurse. Thanks again Patrick for your comments. Graham.
  2. Thank you for your comprehensive reply. Graham
  3. It has been a long while since I added a wing to my collection. The TO was one I hadn't managed to acquire. I would appreciate some opinions. Is this a good one. Thanks. Graham.
  4. Thanks for the replies. That confirms what we suspected. Thank you. Graham.
  5. Thanks for the reply Patchcollector. Yes that is our concern. All the Meyers I see have the 90 degree camed hinge and don't have a flat back like this one. Graham.
  6. This badge belongs to a friend. We would appreciate opinions as to the originality and time period. Thank you. Graham.
  7. Small world indeed. Thanks for adding this to the thread. Graham.
  8. Nice when you pick something up at an antique fair in the UK. Well done. Graham.
  9. Just found this post. I have one of these plastic officers devices. The 'plating' is slightly peeling here and there and is like a meal foil applied over the plastic. Graham

  11. Silver plated brass is the way to go. I would also say the lack of a maker mark is in its favour. Most repro I have seen are marked. Graham
