  1. Does it? I was having kinda a hard time telling with the quality of the pic.
  2. What do you patch experts think of this one?
  3. If you read post#9 clapton is god mentions the helmet in question. I think this is what Jabo is referring to.
  4. I think this is the thread Jabo was talking about http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...c=69336&hl= Here is his site with the helmet listed http://nuke.combat-helmets.com/Default.aspx?tabid=170
  5. Look at the columns they match up, also the shrubs on the sides. I know its hard to see but it is the same building. Check out this on the WAF http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...ad.php?t=566039 Look at this site it says the barracks were built in 1901 designed by Henry Ives Cobb in a Renaissance Revival stylel. Click on history then the interactive feature, skip the intro and click on architecture, then find building100 http://www.navyyard.org/history
  6. Photo was taken on the steps in front of the League Island Navy Yard Marine Barracks Philadelphia PA Here is a shot of the whole building
  7. The owner stripped the paint and revealed it to be a 7th BB marked helmet. I believe I saw pics somewhere?
  8. Is this the 7th BB you were talking about 1944? http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...;hl=7th+beachth
  9. Saw this one on ebay last night, it looked pretty good. Someone else thought so too, it didn't last long. Was wondering if anyone here made the deal with the seller? They may have got one hell of a deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:X:RTQ:US:1123
  10. Yes that is it!! Thanks guys now I can sleep.
  11. I know I have seen this patch before but I can't place it. Either on here or in a military trader article, I have searched this and other forums and googled it. It is driving me nuts so I hope you guys can help. Maybe its not even U.S.?
  12. I second what sgtdorango has posted I also can see where the old shield was scraped off and painted over. Here are two other examples, take a look at these one's posted by other members, post #6 http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...129&hl=97th and this one that was on ebay a while back http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...133&hl=97th
