I can adjust the NAM era liners to fit good, but some of the WW2 and KOREAN era liners are the ones I have trouble with.
-
I tried the method of putting the band at the nape location and it did fit better. I looked at other helmet posts on the forum and on EBAY but have not seen this method.

I have a few m1 helmets. Some liners fit loose. Is there a way to make them fit snug with out having to exchange them? How is the proper way to fit a liner to ones head? I know that the first step is to take the sweat band out and fit it to your forehead. I have aleady done this to all bands. On some when I put the liner on it still fits loose so I tried to adjust the webbing tightness but it still fits loose.

Can some one help me find the link concerning the heat stamp number on the m1 helmet shell on the foeum

It was to replace the 30 ARMY ( 30-40 KRAG ) which was adopted in 1892. Like the 30-40 KRAG it used a 220 grain round nosed full metal jacket bullet. However, the 03 increased the muzzle velocity by about 100 fps ( 2300 fps. ) although the M1903 rifle had a shorter barrel. A crash program was instituted and in 1906 a modified version of this cartridge was adopted as the 30 CALIBER, MODEL of 1906. That loading featured a lighter spitzer 150 gr bullet and the case neck shortened by 0.07" and the Velocity was increased to 2700 fps. The spitzer bullet had a much shorter bearing surface so the

I recently won this off of EBAY. 170638178908 helmet and field gear collection. Did I pay too much? Was the pea color as stated in the listing correct for a KOREAN WAR helmet shell?

I saw this on EBAY. 150547471381 OCCUPIED JAPAN CUP. Is this real or is the seller trying to pull the wool over every ones eyes? I told the seller that his is a repro. I have 2 cups with covers just like his with JAPAN marked on the bottom and they came from a toy store. There were other cups marked JAPAN on the bottom on EBAY. Were military gear made by countries that we conquered and had troops there?

The mouth piece has some circles with a vancy F, above that is a 53, below the fancy F, is a capital letter A, and on the bottom edge is M25 C 7 On the left temple of the mask is the circles with a fancy F, above that is 53, and below the fancy F is a X1 So according to what you said to look for, i guess that this mask was made in 1953?

Does this hurt their value?

I think he sells them on EBAY for about 15 TO $30.00 IN THE BOX.

I recently got this M1 GARAND AMMO BELT dated 1943 off EBAY #150570171107 It was made for the 03 SPRINGFIELD.. It was probably never issued/hardly used? No tears, rust, tarnish. The pockets are tight when placing two stripper/one embloc clip inside. You can not see it from the pics but I found that both halves have different snaps. The left side has the KliKit star PULL snaps and the right side has the snaps with a small hole on the bottom. Both halves are the same color and match. Each half also has a divider in one pocket that is a light pinkish color. Is it normal to find an ammo belt

A friend of mine has a canvas pouch that he has no idea what it is for. It looks like those WW2 ammo /grenade pouches. It has 3 snaps instead of the strap closure. It came with 3 inert M1 rifle grenades. Any idea who made it and just what for?

How many patterns or styles of helmet covers did the MARINES use during WW2 and KOREA? I have one type with an insect net and foilage band attached. How do you tell an original from a reproduction?
