  1. I have a wool undershirt made in 1944 with an odd looking tag inside that looks like it was hand sewn to the shirt. Anyone know what the writing is on it?
  2. I was wondering when these were made? I was thinking post WWII.
  3. I would like to see a cheaper repro, in the $200 range, of the early war blue Navy deck jackets. There is a good looking one I think made in Japan but it's out of my price range. I'm sure there is a lot of work that goes into making one so maybe $200 isn't realistic? Here is a link: http://www.christopheloiron.com/mfsc-deck-jacket-type-n-1h-troy/
  4. What about these from WWII Impression's? I'm not sure if they have them in stock yet: http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/images/Longundertop.JPG
  5. I'm not sure how many reenactors out there care about what kind of socks they wear, but for those who do these might work. I was after something that basically had a military style look, and I don't know of anyone who makes a dead on reproduction of WWII socks. These aren't really reproductions in anyway but I thought they have a good look and these are made in the USA. I purchased these from a website called Sock Dreams (http://www.sockdream...ry-bootsocks:77). Out of the box I like these alot better than the ones offered by What Price Glory (http://onlinemilitar...p?id=2603&bc=no) that I
  6. At the time I posted in this thread I started wearing my ATF roughouts to work where i'm on my feet most of the day. I figured it would be a good way to see how the held up. I know these aren't work boots but about 2 weeks into it and I could see they were steadily deteriorating. These boots were 5 years old but I can't say I really got any hard use out of them. So yes anyone wanting to get a pair of roughouts should look at the other manufacturers out there before getting these, WWII Impressions being a good choice. Thats just my opionion.
  7. I like some of the stuff on the site but most of it is out of my price range. Anyone on here own a pair?
