  1. Thanks for the info guys..looks like one of the swords/machete shown in the last pic..is just like the Spanish Inf. Off. sword for cuba shown in the thread a couple posts below this by Chap 15 ....I didnt notice that post before I posted this..
  2. Wow..very nice work..that is something to be proud of.
  3. Hey Guys, Not sure if this is a U.S. Machete..I think it is but you guys are the experts. I picked up 5 blades in a trade and three have bird pommels and two are elephant. It is 20-3/4" overall and marked in four straight lines on the front LEGITIMUS COLLINS CO. HARTFORD No 18. The pommel is shaped like a elephant and on the back of the blade is marked S-2-25. If this is not a U.S. knife sorry and Mod should remove..any idea what year? Thanks for any info.
  4. I found something interesting on an original old WWII practice mine crate...this crate had both reed and prince and slot screws on the same box. A couple pics to show reed & prince were used in WWII.
  5. They are not matching halfs. Notice one has a A1 and the other does not have it.. One side has FRAG. and the other side has "FRAG" A1
  6. Very interesting..I have never seen a dated lead plug. Thanks for posting
  7. Looks like the yellow ones spoon got bent at one time. You can see the crease right above the Y
  8. No problem...I would have bought it either way..still great info.
  9. For reference I will add pics of the M32, M33 and the M34 primers used in mortars.
  10. Are you sure its not the M32 primer for the 60mm mortar? Maybe they come in different sizes the one I got in the mail today fits the M32 primer for the 60..
  11. Yes..it's a Underwood rework inspection mark..my book says 1951.. the 53 is probably a rack number.
  12. Love the grenade boxes...congrats on a nice looking crate. Looks like the side says FUZE 200A1
  13. Post a pic Garandomatic..maybe we can figure it out.
  14. I tried to add a pic of the canister in this auction but the format was too big so I took a pic or one of Robs cans and an original..in his first auction with a buy it now of $39..you couldn't see the AOD mark..what I noticed is the repo can has a tighter C in the word CANISTER M41..with the paint it almost looks like an O. Here is an original and a repo next to each other to try and show what im talking about.
  15. Just a heads up to my fellow Grenade brothers..Repo grenade can being sold on Ebay as original..second one I have seen this week. https://www.ebay.com/itm/EMPTY-WWII-HAND-GRENADE-MK-II-CONTAINER-M-41-FRAG-ARMY-USMC-CAN/373027826518?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225074%26meid%3D5668480a7b934279af7ae437578d38b3%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D373027826518%26itm%3D373027826518%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507
  16. Here are pictures of the stock markings on the M1 Carbine in the auction being talked about. Dont know why he would leave out photos of the sling cut.
  17. Great Rifle Grenade display...well done.
  18. Looks decent..I like the color. Stock looks to be a 44 dated IBM Hard to beat the looks of a Carbine with early features..congrats.
