  1. Thanks Bill. You are always a wealth of information. These will definitely be a welcome addition to my collection
  2. In general how much do AAF Gemsco bullion patches go for? I really would like to know more about them since it seems that most of the bullion patches I acquired are Gemsco
  3. Here is another 4 AAF bullion patches. Are they Repros and if not where were they made. Thanks for your input
  4. Where they made during the war or post war? How much do they generally go for? Is they catalog you mentioned available for purchase anywhere?
  5. Here is another 3 AAF bullion patches. Are they Repros and if not where were they made. Thanks for your input
  6. I recent purchased a group of AAF patches which included 11 bullion patches. I will try to post all of them to get your opinion on if they are repros and if they are not repros where were they made. These are patches that appear to be standard embroider patches with bullion accents. From my reading these could be US made by GEMSCO. What do you guys thinks
  7. I currently live in California and will be making a trip to Boston in the next week. Wanted some recommendations on where to go for WWII militaria. More specifically patches

  9. Cool. Just wanted to know how common the WWII National Guard patches are. I don’t see them that often or discussed on the forum. Any good resources in these patches?
  10. Just wanted to know if someone can ID this patch and tell me if it is WWII era. It measures 2in in diameter
  11. I just purchased this naval cap with a green top. The bullion Badge was a great addition but I wanted to see if anyone could recognize the country of origin. I do not know the name of the officer but I did acquire it at an estate sale in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  12. Thanks for the input. You guys have never ceased to amazing me with your knowledge.
  13. Bought this patch at an antique stores in Martinez CA birthplace of Joe DiMaggio. It measures 3 7/8 inches in diameter. If I remember from my reading the was a Paratrooper version of this patch that was not standard issue but sold at PXs. I have never read about a Glidertroop version. Can anyone confirm that this is WWII era and give me anymore info. Thanks
  14. Is there any way to tell if it is a WWII era CAP garrison? Are there any seachable records for members of the CAP during WWII?
  15. Found this garrison cap at a local estate sale in California. I have never seen a cap with this color and insignia patch. Is it post WWII? It does have a name Cadet Lance written inside. Is it from a cadet who went to the Air Force Academy?
