    Patch ID

Cool. Just wanted to know how common the WWII National Guard patches are. I don’t see them that often or discussed on the forum. Any good resources in these patches?

    Patch ID

Just wanted to know if someone can ID this patch and tell me if it is WWII era. It measures 2in in diameter
  5. I just purchased this naval cap with a green top. The bullion Badge was a great addition but I wanted to see if anyone could recognize the country of origin. I do not know the name of the officer but I did acquire it at an estate sale in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  6. Thanks for the input. You guys have never ceased to amazing me with your knowledge.
  7. Bought this patch at an antique stores in Martinez CA birthplace of Joe DiMaggio. It measures 3 7/8 inches in diameter. If I remember from my reading the was a Paratrooper version of this patch that was not standard issue but sold at PXs. I have never read about a Glidertroop version. Can anyone confirm that this is WWII era and give me anymore info. Thanks
  8. Is there any way to tell if it is a WWII era CAP garrison? Are there any seachable records for members of the CAP during WWII?
  9. Found this garrison cap at a local estate sale in California. I have never seen a cap with this color and insignia patch. Is it post WWII? It does have a name Cadet Lance written inside. Is it from a cadet who went to the Air Force Academy?
  10. Does anyone have a reference to identify the manufacturers' markings on the handles of m-1942 mess kits. I have one made in 1942 and another in 1943
  11. Just got these 2 AAF shoulder insignias. I was told they are WWII but I have never seen this felt variate for the 3rd AAF. The 9th AAF backing is a course black material and both are about 2.75 in. Can anyone give me more info on them. Thanks
  12. It is 3.5 in long and 1 in wide in the middle
  13. I got this patch at a garage sale last week. I bundled it with some other non-military items and I'm not sure if it is WWII vintage. Any opinions?
  14. Anyone have more examples of a WWII 508th PIR for future reference
