  1. He's been working on it for 11 years, really a labour of love. He's travelled all over Australia, Queensland etc sourcing parts, the turret, fittings etc etc. He's got two complete engines, plus the one in the vehicle
  2. A good friend of mine in Brisbane is restoring a WW2 US M3 Stuart, I had a chance to see over it on the week end, and its a fantastic restoration. Hes restored the correct Guiberson (sic) diesel radial and put it back in the vehicle, and ran it while we were there (hence the smokey photo) Hope they are of interest

  8. Thanks for the comments. My friend who took my wife and I over to Ford Island is a retired USMC Colonel, he now works for the Armed Forces YMCA. So we were very fortunate that we were able to see the USS Utah. As you say they don't allow movement there for Tourists other than the shuttle bus to the USS Missouri and the Pacific Air Museum ( which i can recommend as very good too BTW). I fully understand the need for security of course. My friend also took us to a small memorial on Ford Island opposite the USS Arizona, which I was really taken with, definately something about th
