  1. I am glad I am so specialized with my collecting, only walked away with less then a hundred bucks damage to my wallet for a few theater made 10th Mountain patches. If I collected anything and everything like in the past, I would be in some trouble right now. :pinch: It was a great show, even if you aren't there to shop, it is fun to look at all of the rare militaria that was floating around. I only got one picture with my iPhone, there was a nice German two seater motorcycle on display. I figured my son would get a kick out of it.
  2. Thanks for the input. I just booked the hotel so its officical now. This will be my second show. I remember last year it was very civil... definitely nothing like the crowds at Wal-Mart during Black Friday!!
  3. I checked the OVMS website and it states that the show is open on Thursday from 12:30PM-6PM to OVMS members and memberships can be purchased at the door? Has anyone done this before? Just wanted to make sure... That way I can visit the show on Thursday versus Friday morning.
  4. Thank you very much for the help Tom. Also, quick question in regards to this being a replacement set, the PH is rim numbered. In your experience, have you seen a rim numbered heart used in the later years as a replacment medal? Thanks again for your help on this.
  5. Hello, I was attempting to sell a PH&SS set in the for sale section and it was brought up about the time period and style of engraving as to which I don't have a solid answer. I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions/insight as to what time period they think this might be. Also, a detail I failed to leave out in the listing was that the Purple Heart is rim numbered 154704, if that is of any help. Thanks for any help offered and here is the link to the thread: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...howtopic=127983
  6. I got one for 3.60 the other day and have no clue still as to what I purchased and why I received such a generous settlement.
  7. Very cool uniform and overseas cap. That cap might be normally suspicious as being put together, but the photograph puts that idea to rest very easily. Once again, very nice grouping!
  8. Couldn't agree more, it is a great place to spend the day. Beautiful landscape and a top notch mueseum.
  9. Very nice website. Are you focusing your collection on mainly GO items.
  10. Another fine heart, don't know how you come up with these. Very nice!
  11. Congrats on the new AR. I have a Colt and a Bushmaster myself. The s&w looks like a well made carbine.
  12. Nice collection of small arms and a very nice way of displaying them. Well done.
