  1. Within the same magazine "The second Great War" July 1946 is a bit of British humour.... Oh to own one of those 75mm SP gun Halftracks!!
  2. Hi Ken I found an old magazine publication in amongst my paperwork "The second Great War" from July 1946. Within it are some 'then and now' photos of 1944 and 2 years later in 1946. I enclose photos here. They cover Coutances, Marigny, Montebourg, Periers and St Lo. Although not on the beaches, they are very interesting Normandy break-out areas. It is fascinating to see how patched up and cleaned up the towns were by then. I hope the photos are clear enough and of interest! Cheers Graham
  3. A pleasure as always Dean. Top shelf items there; including some incredible groupings. Your enthusiasm and collection grow by the day! Awesome.
  4. Thank you for the kind words Dean.. We share the same enthusiasm in this field of collecting!
  5. Always a pleasure to see your new additions Dean. Real eye candy indeed!
  6. Hello, I have re-listed this posting in the 'uniform' section. I hope this is ok. Those who know me, will understand my passion for this element of collecting. I have spent some time creating a website to collate my collection and findings. It is not finished. It is not perfect! I hope you find it enjoyable and informative, as well as an important tribute to the Marines behind the artefacts. This is my small tribute to them. I look forward to hearing from fellow enthusiasts... https://usmcunis.com (The tabs to the pages are on the top left of the home page)
  7. Thank you! Yes, I agree. This was the host website template, so I will try to modify the drop down box. I have always admired your extensive website including the UNIS section of course!

  9. Great map case!! I am no 'self proclaimed expert', but from confirmed examples I have seen in this shape, your case is 3rd Div. Congrats!
  10. Another fantastic addition to the collection Dean. You are deviating from the PTO...!
  11. Wow, that is really amazing Dean! This hobby is always full of surprises! Stunning helmet.
  12. Awesome Ken, you need to forward to the Jeep canvas manufacturers with copyright!! An impressive and rare find - an original Jeep cover left over.... cool! (Not that you ever put one up on your Jeep!!)
  13. Wow, amazing photos! Thanks for sharing! I am pleased the military left the battle scars exposed, and not fill them in. They act as an eye opening monument to that fateful day...
  14. That is brilliant Ken! I had no idea... One of those insignificant items, but essential! Great discovery!
