  1. Ebay told me they watch my listings beacuse I am a Top Rated seller and therefore, they pay more attention to Top Rated ssellers with a lot of items on Ebay. She also said, we don't want to lose you as a seller with Ebay because you have been with us since 1999 with outstanding ratings. She said we aren't singling you out, That's our policy. Yet, I have found so many Purple Heart Medals with the case on Ebay and nothing happens to them. This is another very upseting reason for dealing with Ebay that forced me to add my own website. I am just so fed up with them and their policies that
  2. I told a friend of mine that military collectors would be going to other sites with all of Ebay's restricted policies. According to Ebay, the government told Ebay that they couldn't sell government-issued medals and ribbons.
  3. I entered some ribbons on Ebay on Sunday and shortly there after they were removed. These were the typical WWII common ribbons. The email indicated that all government issued medals and ribbons are not allowed on Ebay. Here's the reference that was with the email. Government documents, IDs, and licenses policy Can I sell a government-issued medal? No, we don't allow listings for government-issued medals or their certificates. This includes the Air Force Cross, Congressional Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Purple Heart, or Silver Star. This also applies to a medal

  6. We have just opened up our WW2 and older military website. I have been collecting for over 55 years. I will be turning 70 next month, and I finally have to admit that I have to sell my items. My wife and I have been selling at shows across the country. I can no longer depend on the shows to sell my items, nor did I want to sell my items. I had major back surgery last year, and I am not supposed to left anything over 30 pounds or risk having more back surgeries. It is tough for me to do that. I've never had anything wrong with me until then. So much about me. Let's talk about my websit
  7. This is oldtimecollector's wife. My husband is the oldtimecollector and we have been working together for 18 years and he has been collecting for over 55 years. I do most of the typing, as he is not very good with computers. I have listed and sold many hats and we have never seen Hygietan on a sweatband before. I wondered if it was just the maker that did that and we assumed it was to help with bacteria. This mark is on an olive drab crusher hat on the inside sweatband. It's not a big deal it's just that we were just wondering if other collectors had seen that mark on hats. Thank
  8. I have a crusher cap that I have had for many years. The inside sweatband is marked Hygicatan, Antiseptically Made. Does anyone have any information on this? Thank for your help.

  10. Thanks, I'm still learning about the forum. I should have known that this organization would be on top of things and already make a badge.
  11. This is my 5th year at the SOS Show and every year I get excited as the time gets closer. This is the first time in the four years that I have had tables that I am selling some of my collection. Here's a list of some of the items that I will be selling this year. I hope some of the U.S. Militaria Forum members will stop by our tables and say hi. It would be nice to meet some of you. It's too bad that there isn't some kind of identification that the members could wear that shows they are a member. Then members could be easily identified. 12. I'm sorry I haven't returned you response sooner. Time just gets away. Anyway, I was referring to the Dutch Van Kirk SOS's picture. I seen him when I was at that show also. I'm assuming you are the person behind Dutch. Anyway, a awesome collection that you have. From your collection I can also tell you are a long time collector. It's nice to see someones collection on the forum that has the same collcection interests as mine. Take care.
