  1. Your correct it’s a Fibre liner like a Hawley. General Fibre was a subcontractor for Hawley. Here’s some pics of a General Fibre they look the exact same as a Hawley only difference is they will have a G stamped at the bottom of the liner. 2. Great liner! Hood Rubber is the 2nd least produced liner throughout the war. Only behind General Fibre liners (120,000). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I bet you feel obligated to keep this medal and photo under your care for a long time, I have some items like that too where you just feel it’s your responsibility to take care of the last thing is man was awarded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Oh my god. What a hero, it didn’t register with me at first when you said widow, that is just incredible god is taking good care of him in heaven right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Very cool! Do you know what heroic action the man performed to be awarded that medal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Very cool Austin! Could you send some pics? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Smart move, would care to share the story of how you got the liner? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Also is that possibly some form of a follow me stripe on the back of the liner? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My apologies his name is Matt, and his account name is aznation. Wonderful gent! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. As always I would suggest possibly asking Matt Nation, the MAN on finding information about veterans. However that’s if he is willing to do so which he is most of the time, a very kind member of the forum he is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Looks amazing, great score! It would appear Mr. Cohen traced-cut his name in the headband after he wrote it. He wanted to make sure his name would always be able to be findable. Very cool can’t wait to hear about his service! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Most likely Lykens then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
