  1. Does someone know if the Red Cross still has copies from the Red Cross id cards that were issued to US medics? Can you get access to them? Is it possible to found out more in that way about the numbers on the back of the medic's brassard? Thanks for your help/reply in advance.
  2. Can someone please help me finding this guy's unit? Daniel W Dragon, ASN 39838418, from LA, CA. Already checked NARA, Ancestry, WWIIMEMORIAL and Findagrave and local library. According the contributor at Findagrave he was in 'a tank division in the Black Forest'. According his hospital card he was wounded October 44. Thanks for your help in advance.
  3. At Ancestry he is listed under 319 Glider Field Artillery Battalion when returning to the US in 1945. According Bart Hagermann's book Seventeenth Airborne Division he was also with the 681 Glider Field Artillery Battalion. Someone who has that book? Is there more information in it about him? In particular I am seeking for a picture from him.
