I am an active duty Marine and am interested in collecting WWII USMC equipment and uniforms. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful children. I would sell everything I have for them.
  1. Probably between $350-$400 on eBay, but could go up to $450. If it had a name and or, the cover was attached to original helmet/not removed since the Marine/Sailor put it away, start at $550.
  2. Thanks...I will probably look for a helmet to put them on, but I dont have plans yet.
  3. There is also some graffiti on the first cover. ATB his/hers initials on front, her L name and first initial on the side, LADY Rose on the back, and his/her first name around a heart shape cut out on the cover.

  6. Well, the listing ended. I reported the item to eBay under “fraudulent listing,” but I’m afraid that someone was taken for a ride on this one. You can see where he cropped out one of the fixed bales/chinstrap. It was probably missing and made the helmet drop significantly in value. At least it was only a couple hundred dollars and not a few thousand. Definitely his modus operandi to sell low and quickly. I wonder if he keeps the sale price low to avoid major criminal charges if he gets caught. If he was a collector and the items were real, he would sell them for a commensurate price. If he wa
