  1. We use these in the aerospace industry but haven’t thought about the use for military items. Thanks for the tip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have also seen these stuck to WW1 wooden supply creates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Just a thought, would the rim of the helmet have been touched up at the same time the yellow camo pattern was applied. There was a lot of paint loss on these rims and I’m wondering if they used what they had to cover the shine of the rim. Might explain your newer looking OG paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I don’t think it would hurt this helmet to remove the outer paint and see what you have. Plus....I’m curious now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Welcome, Nice to have another from across the pond on here. Lots of information here on M1’s and they are fun to collect. You never know what might pop up in England also! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well said, at this moment I’m trying to explain this to my 7 and 3 year olds. The reasons they are allowed to do what they want in this great country with all of its freedom. I’m forever indebted to these men. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. About half my uniforms both Army and USMC have handwritten names in them. Most of the time I see USMC uniforms stamped then crossed out and handwritten done after. I think it’s pretty common and don’t see it as too much of an issue unless there are also other red flags with the uniform. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for sharing and thanks to this young man for giving up his freedoms and sacrificing so much for me and my family to live in this great country. RIP soldier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I don’t usually see that many overseas bars on a jacket very often so that’s interesting but as far as $100, don’t think I could pay that much unless there was a way to research it from a name or Lainey number to tie it to metals. There are a lot of jackets out there that aren’t named for a lot less but if your set on this particular one or to this unit and you feel comfortable, go for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
