  1. "I was stationed at the Crete missile base 1963 to 1966 as a radar tech. I look back on my service and remember the Crete base as a good assignment. I really liked working on the AN/FPS-75 ABAR radar. We could pick up targets out to 200 miles. For readiness drills we would "lock on" commercial aircraft."
